LONE WOLF PRINT

SIZE-30"x 16" $395.

In the vast wilderness of Yellowstone National Park, a remarkable wolf known as 907F roamed with grace and tenacity. Born in the spring of 2013, she would go on to defy the odds through a life marked by the trials of nature. Affectionately nicknamed the "Queen of the Wolves," 907F became a symbol of resilience, surviving hardships that would have weakened lesser creatures. Despite a severe case of mange that stripped her of fur along nearly half of her tail and the loss of an eye, she thrived, showcasing a spirit that captivated the hearts of wildlife enthusiasts and researchers alike.

907F blossomed into the alpha female of the Junction Butte pack, a role she embraced with strength and wisdom. Her leadership was not simply defined by her dominance but by her nurturing spirit, as she gave birth to a staggering ten litters of pups, each a testament to her vitality and commitment to future generations. With each challenge she faced—be it territorial disputes or the looming threats of human encounters—907F's cautious nature illuminated her ability to lead her pack through the treacherous landscapes of their home. She was a guardian, reinforcing the fragile balance of the ecosystem around her.

As the years passed, 907F's legacy grew. She became an enigmatic figure, inspiring awe among lovers of nature, who followed her story through the seasons. Her longevity of eleven years stood in stark contrast to the average wolf's life span of three to five years, embodying the hope that perseverance brings. The connection humans felt to her journey transcended the barrier of species, as they marveled at her strength and the bonds she fostered within her pack.

Tragically, on Christmas Day in 2024, the joyful narrative of 907F's life met a poignant conclusion. In a fierce encounter with a rival pack known as the Rescue Creek pack, she faced her greatest challenge. Her death marked a somber moment in Yellowstone, echoing throughout the wild and into the hearts of those who revered her. The "Queen of the Wolves" left behind a legacy not just of survival, but of leadership, maternal devotion, and the unwavering spirit of the wild. In her passing, she reminded the world of the intricate web of life that connects all creatures and the profound influence one individual can have on the tapestry of nature
